Now we have even more of a reason to love or be extremely jealous of award-winning model slash actress slash humanitarian Angelina Jolie. Jeez is there anything the woman doesn’t do? Not only is she super talented and beautiful, but the three-time Golden Globe winner and mother-of-six is also a fully licensed pilot.
We aren’t sure how she finds the time. She owns a small Cirrus SR22 plane which can carry 4-5 passengers in it. Jolie is featured in the David Attenborough doco “The Queen’s Green Planet.” The documentary shows Jolie co-piloting a small plane over the Namibian desert, which comes after Jolie’s partnership with the Namibian government to create a nursery that will replace dying trees in the area. The story behind her pilot’s license is particularly adorable. Apparently, she promised her son Maddox that she would learn to fly, and in 2004 she got her license. What a star mom.
Enrique Iglesias – Gulfstream IV, Estimated $3.6 Million
With the five Billboard Hot 100 top five singles, including two number-ones, this musical hottie is still popping out best-selling singles. He is a pop sensation around the globe. Crazy that he is over 40, as he doesn’t look much different from when he first started to produce music.
Enrique is a big fan of planes, so he decided to get his pilot license. When did he get it? He is now certified to fly helicopters and small to medium planes. He owns this business jet, a Gulfstream IV which he purchased for $3.6 million. For a man who probably has many places to be around the world, we are happy that he can do it in a way that is most convenient and fast. We don’t want him to be late to his show!
Roberto Cavalli – Baglietto Yacht, Estimated $40 Million
They say that you can tell a lot about somebody by what their car looks like. If the same is true about yachts, then Italian designer Robert Cavalli is one classy guy. The “Baglietto” yacht is a colorful, custom-built 134-foot-long ship with room for 8 guests and a crew of 4.
An unconventional yacht for unconventional fashion designer Roberto Cavalli. Sounds about right.
Leonardo DiCaprio – Topaz, Estimated $1.3 Million Per Week
The “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” star has held quite a few award-winning roles. And with all those awards come fortune and fame. Money clearly isn’t an issue for Leo, seeing as though he is building an eco-resort on his own private island. And if you have an island, then it is absolutely necessary to also have a Superyacht.
The two so clearly go hand in hand. Not only did Leo’s island cost him $1.5 Million, but his superyacht also cost an extra $1.3 million to rent for a week. We are sure that the actor learned how to host great parties from his character, millionaire Jay Gatsby, in The Great Gatsby and there is no better party location than in this 26-cabin yacht complete with three swimming pools, a cinema, and even two helipads.
Rihanna – Superyacht – Estimated $250K Per Week
Growing up in Barbados, this pop icon got used to living near the water. While she no longer lives there, she still takes to the water often. Superyachts are the latest trend in the celebrity world.
While they are extremely expensive, if you’ve got the means to afford it, why not? Rihanna loves to try out different luxury yachts, paying anywhere from $125,000 to $350,000 a week. When you’re one of the best-selling music artists of all time, money is of negligible importance.
