Hey, Arnold! was known to be one of the coolest shows with big-city kids who lived in a suburban neighborhood. The show looks like it was shot in Brooklyn if the city were an animated version of itself. Its stories centers around teens who go through all different types of struggles such as puberty and falling in love. The lovable character of Arnold and his posse makes you feel like you’re glimpsing into the life of 90s cool kids.
Are You Afraid of the Dark?
This is another cult classic and it aired for 10 years. It’s considered one of the scariest children’s shows of its time but it had the ability to draw anyone to its creepy tales. The Midnight Society, a group of kids would gather at nightfall to share ghost stories with each other. Their stories would range from haunted houses to people getting lost in the woods and emerging later on in the most unexpected places. This creepy show was well-loved despite its apparent scare factor.
Rugrats
Rugrats is a show that aired from 1991 to 2004 and was a huge hit for its crazy shenanigans. Tommy, Chucky, Angelica, and twins Phil and Lil won our hearts with their adorable stories that somehow always lead them into trouble. They’re always able to step out of their difficult situations despite being babies and the show centers around promoting teamwork and eventually loving your family despite their flaws.

This one was definitely considered one of the funniest shows of the lot. Its stars moved on to becoming world-class actors such as Amanda Bynes and Kenan Thompson. The sketch comedy series draws inspiration from everyday life and people’s annoyances and victories. It was the type of show you could relax and unwind with on an afternoon where you had free time after school. It’s truly a classic that will forever be cherished for its humor that doesn’t try to be hard to be funny but is just genuinely genius.
